Top 15 Things Every Child Should Know Before Entering Kindergarten

Bronwyn O'Hara, a hearing parent of three Deaf adults and ASL/English Bilingual advocate, wishes to share "Top 15 Things Every Child Should Know Before Entering Kindergarten."
Bronwyn O'Hara and Stephanie Mathis, an Executive Director of the Sego Lily Center for the Deaf Abused and Deaf parent of a Deaf son, were invited as guest speakers to give a presentation for social workers working at the Primary's Children Hospital on October 22, 2016.
Attached you will find Bronwyn's presentation, "How to Raise Deaf Children" and Stephanie's PowerPoint, "Gaining Perspective" for the Primary's Children Hospital.
If interested, you can review the titles of research papers Bronwyn had read and shared with USDB Superintendents, Program Director, Utah State Board of Education and other professionals during her time in Utah between 1987 and 1995.
Note: Stephanie Mathis' "How to Raise Deaf Children" Powerpoint is a combination of her stuff, Annette Stewart is comparing the medical/cultural models (2-3 slides), Mitch Moyers is the assistive technology slide (1 slide), she borrowed one slide from Chrystee Davenport on Identity Development, then the Cultural Identity Development she got from Dr. Thomas Holcomb's article, but she organized it herself.
