I had the honor of presenting on Dr. Robert G. Sanderson at the inaugural Utah History Summit on September 22, 2026. Historians, educators, archivists, and community leaders gathered to share ideas and explore ways to preserve and promote Utah's rich history. It was inspiring to be among so many individuals dedicated to ensuring that these stories continue to be researched, documented, and shared with future generations.
The Utah Historical Society (UHS), founded in 1897, promotes the study and preservation of Utah history through scholarship, research, collections, publications, and public engagement. Although headquartered in Salt Lake City, UHS serves communities statewide and frequently collaborates with educational, governmental, and nonprofit organizations to support historical programs and initiatives.
UHS also publishes the Utah Historical Quarterly. My biography of Dr. Robert G. Sanderson, titled "Robert G. Sanderson: Utah's Deaf Community Advocate," was published in Utah Historical Quarterly, Volume 94, Issue 3 (Summer 2026). You can read the article here:
