Author's Note
I am delighted to share that Parker Holt, a Utah resident and a graduate of the Gallaudet Class of 2020, has won the Pre-Law Writing Award from Gallaudet University. Parker's essay discussed Utah's laws that impact the Utah Deaf community. He meticulously analyzed the laws and provided recommendations that could benefit the Deaf community in Utah. He acknowledges the Utah Deaf History website as a primary source for his research project.
